Law of the Department of Intellectual Property
On December 7, 2017, at the Department of Intellectual Property, a round table was held on the theme "Actual problems of protection and protection of rights in case of unlawful use of intellectual property".
The meeting was attended by teachers from different departments of NMetAU and students of the humanities faculty, faculty of economics and management, in particular, specialties "Management" (specialization intellectual property), "Information, library and archiving business", "Professional education", "Philology".
The meeting began with a presentation by the Head of the Department of Intellectual Property Korogod N.P., devoted to the characterization of the intellectual property rights system in Ukraine, the procedure for acquiring rights at the national and international levels and the protection of intellectual property rights.
During the discussion, the greatest interest was raised with regard to:
- lawful use of copyright objects on the Internet;
- distribution of property rights between the author and the employer on official works;
- practical aspects of acquiring rights to industrial property objects created at higher educational establishments;
- international patenting procedures;
- ways to protect against unlawful use of intellectual property rights objects, including on the Internet.
All those present were informed about the possibility to participate in scientific conferences, contests and competitions on intellectual property and invited to consult the discussions with faculty.
