Department of Intellectual Property began the new academic year with an interesting event - working closely with foreign representatives in the field of intellectual property.

In September 2012 Meir Dahan, a Master of IP Laws (University of London), IP law professor at Tel Aviv University, a lawyer for IP, began a series of lectures (workshops) on the most pressing issues of IP for the students of our specialty and other people working at this field.

The lectures were held in English as it was a good experience and English practice for our students. However, for the students who probably had some difficulties with English understanding, worked a translator. These classes were very lively. The main topics of Meir Dahan's lecture course were:

- Subjects and objects of copyright;

- The economic and moral rights;

- Service of the invention;

- Industrial Designs;

- Trademarks;

- Goodwill and unregistered trademarks;

- International Patent System (priority date, the application of the PCT).

Note that the Department of Intellectual Property provides for its students not only experience exchange with foreign experts in the field of IP, but also with regular meetings with local representatives of companies-employers (eg, CB "South", Patent Law Office "CCT", Ukrgipromez etc.).
