     Dmytro Pavlychko (born September 28, 1929, Stoppchatov, now Kosiv district) is a Ukrainian poet, translator, literary critic, social and political figure, Hero of Ukraine. Since the fall of 1945 p. by the summer of 1946, he had been imprisoned on the whistleblowing and fabricated charge of belonging to the UPA. In 1953 he graduated from the University of Lviv, worked as the editor-in-chief of the magazine "Universe" (1971-1978), author of numerous collections of poetry, lyrcs of famous songs – "Two Colors", "Lelechenko" and others. Based on his works, Alexander Kostin wrote the opera The Golden Deer (1982); Yevhen Stankovich, Requiem (Babin Yar, for soloists, choir and symphony orchestra, 1991); screenwriter for "Dream" (1965), "Zachar Berkut" (1970), translating dramatic works by William Shakespeare; Winner of the State Prize of Ukraine. T. G. Shevchenko (1977); member of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine of several convocations.
