February 21 - Day of the native language
International Day of the native language - a day that is celebrated every year on February 21, starting in 2000. "Support for linguistic and cultural diversity and multilingualism" was announced at the XXXth session of the General Conference of UNESCO, which took place from 26 October to 17 November 1999 in Paris.
In Ukraine, the holiday only began to write its own history, although the very problem of the Ukrainian language on the Ukrainian lands has been several centuries.
