Pulpit of the details of the machines harmonically was infused in it. Manager of the new pulpit became doctor of sciences, professor S.N. Kozhevnikov. The Currier - a bright representative of remarkable Pleiades of leading scientists of DMetI (A.P. Chekmaryov, K.F. Starodubov, K.P. Bunin, Y. N. Taran-Zhovnir, N. S. Schirenko, S.I. Hitrik, A.D. Gotlib, N.Y. Tayc, S.T. Rostovcev and others) formed teaching and exploratory groups of the institute at post-war years, defined the directions and methods of scientific research and pawned the bases scientifically-pedagogical tradition of the pulpits, uniting around itself talented youth.

The Currier S.N. Kozhevnikov considered that pulpit was to provide reading the course of theories of the mechanisms and machines (TMM) for students of the mechanical profession, as well as course of the details of the machines for students of all professions.
