Bibliometrics of Ukrainian science

             Today, getting generalized information about the state of science in Ukraine on sectoral, departmental and regional indicators is becoming more urgent.

            The solution of this task requires the domestic science-based superstructure over the bibliometric platform, in which the publications of Ukrainian scientists are quite fully represented. As such a platform for the implementation of the project was chosen the Google Scholar system, the positive features of which is non-profitability and focus on the coverage of scientific publications of all countries, in all languages ​​and in all fields of knowledge.

            The architecture of the information-analytical system "Bibliometrics of Ukrainian Science" (profiles in Google Scholar and an array of bibliometric data with an apparatus for analytical computation) gives grounds to state that it is a science-based superstructure over bibliometric profiles scattered in Google Scholar subjects and objects of domestic documentary communications. The system provides search and ordering of initial data in the sectoral (mathematics, physics, economics), geographic (region, city) and departmental (academic institution, higher education institution) aspects. The initial information is sorted by the Hirsh Index, and within the same index by the alphabet. This information is the basis for the preparation of analytical materials on the publication activity of scientists, collectives and their distribution in the fields of knowledge, institutions, departments, regions.
