The library informs - “Unforgettable!”
Dear Readers!
On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the Babi Yar tragedy, the library has prepared a book exhibition “Unforgettable!”.
During World War II, the Nazis created 50 ghettos and more than 180 large concentration camps on the territory of Ukraine. The policy of the fascists was cruel. Humanity will never forget the mass destruction of the population. Babi Yar became the site of mass executions of civilians in Kiev and Soviet prisoners of war. In two days, September 29 and 30, 1941, up to 34 thousand Jews were shot. Babi Yar is a tragedy, first of all, of the Jewish and Ukrainian peoples, which fascism brought to our peoples.
