The editor draws attention to current defamation, copyright and plagiarism provisions. He has the right to make decisions in agreement with the reviewers or members of the editorial board.
The editor should not use unpublished information in his own research without the written consent of the author. The editorial board must take reasonable steps when making ethical complaints about the submitted manuscript or published document.
An editor evaluates manuscripts regardless of previous merit, race, ethnic origin, gender, religion, citizenship, sexual orientation, or political philosophy of the authors.
Privacy
The editorial board and the editorial board do not disclose any information about the submitted manuscript (author (s), subject, text, etc.) to anyone other than the corresponding author, (potential) reviewers, and publisher, as appropriate.
Disclosure and conflict of interest
Unpublished material disclosed in this work should not be used in any research by the editor, reviewer or any other informed person without the written consent of the authors. Privileged information or arguments obtained through peer review should be kept confidential and not be used for personal or third party benefits. The editor and any member of the editorial board should be relieved of their duty to review the manuscripts in the event of any conflict of interest as a result of joint, competitive or other relations with or from any of the authors, companies / institutions that related to manuscripts. An editor should require all contributors to disclose competing interests. If conflicting interests are identified, corrections should be published after publication. Denials or expressions of concern may be posted if necessary.
Ensuring Integrity: Engaging and Collaborating
Metallurgy theory and practice will respond to any claims or doubts regarding the inappropriate results of research or publications raised by readers, reviewers and others. If there is concern about the conduct or validity of the educational work, the Editorial Board, with the participation of relevant experts, will, where appropriate, evaluate cases of possible plagiarism or duplicates / excess publications. The editor will also ask the author (s) to respond to the case. Metallurgy theory and practice will take this to an institutional level: the journal may require an investigation by the institution or other relevant authorities if such an answer is unsatisfactory.
In cases where the concerns are very serious and the published work is likely to affect scientific knowledge or practical applications, Metallurgy Theory and Practice may consider informing readers of these issues by issuing "expressions of concern" and then posting explanations, conclusions of the investigation. otherwise, Metallurgy Theory and Practice may decide to withhold information if the editorial board is convinced that a serious violation has occurred.
