A LECTURE AND PRESENTATION ON A BIOGRAPHICAL ESSAY WAS HELD
On September 17, 2026, the Local History Department of the Dnipropetrovs’k Regional Universal Library named after Cyril and Methodius, the First Teachers of the Slavs, hosted a public lecture and presentation of a biographical essay to mark the 100th anniversary of the birth of Dr. Ilya Vasilyevich Lysenko, Doctor of Technical Sciences and professor.
The speaker at the event was Mykola Myronenko, author and compiler of the biobibliographic index “Professor Ilya Lysenko – A Man of Lofty Aspirations,” Candidate of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor, and Professor in the Department of International Economics, Management, and Social Sciences and Humanities.
The central theme of the lecture-presentation can be seen as the idea of continuity in the realm of scientific research, the uninterrupted transmission of knowledge from one generation to the next, and the realization of the importance of a person’s body of work several decades later.
