UTILITY MODEL PATENT GRANTED
Good news came from the State Organization “Ukrainian National Office of Intellectual Property and Innovation” in late August 2026.
On July 8, 2026, members of our department (Professor Mykola Myronenko and Associate Professors Olga Kaut and Tetiana Miroshnychenko), in collaboration with researchers and faculty members from the State Enterprise “Research and design and technological institute pipe industry them.Ya. Yu. Osada” (DP"NDTI") and Dnipropetrovs’k State University of Internal Affairs, were granted a utility model patent, which relates to a modern method for manufacturing metal products.
This is the tenth utility model patent since the summer of 2023 in which members of our department have been involved.
It is encouraging that this kind of collaboration is becoming a trend in the research work of specialists at the Ukrainian State University of Science and Technology (USUST) as a whole. As noted in the university administration’s report at the August meeting held on August 27, 2026, during the 2025 - 2026 academic year, faculty and researchers at USUST obtained a total of twenty intellectual property rights certificates.
