Round Table "Teaching Corporate Social Responsibility and Sustainable Development Goals: Realities and Prospects"
On December 14, 2017, with the support of the Program for the Promotion of Green Modernization of the Ukrainian Economy, the United Nations Development Program, the Center for Corporate Social Responsibility Development and the Institute for Higher Education of the National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine, a Roundtable on "Teaching Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Sustainable Development Goals ( CSR): Realities and Prospects ", which was attended by associate professor of the Department of Ecology, Thermal Engineering and Labor Protection of the National Metallurgical Academy of Ukraine Matuhno E.V.
Green solutions are an integral part of Sustainable Development, and CSR is one of the tools to achieve it. It is the responsible business approach to the environmental, social and economic implications of its activities that allows for sustainable development.
According to E. Matukhno, teaching CSR in educational institutions will enable the formation of a "green outlook" and the responsible attitude of the new generation to environmental protection, environmental protection and sustainable management of nature.
Young professionals with CSR skills, knowledge and understanding of the CSR will have a systematic approach to solving various problems facing the business, and therefore should be more demanded by employers.
