The department trains specialists in specialty 136 "Metallurgy":
OPP "Technologies and equipment for the production of metals and alloys" (bachelor) in the professional field "Physico-chemical foundations of metallurgical processes"
OPP "Metallurgical processes of obtaining and processing of metals and alloys" (master's degree - 1.5 years) in the professional direction "Physico-chemical foundations of metallurgical processes"
ONP "Research of processes and development of technologies in metallurgy" (master of science - 2 years) in the scientific direction "Physico-chemical research of metallurgical processes"
OP "Metallurgy" (PhD)
Graduates of the department can apply the acquired knowledge in the field of modern methods of analysis and creation of new, ecologically clean and resource-saving technologies and processes that allow to reliably protect the environment and carry out analytical control of raw materials and secondary products of metallurgy and produce metals, alloys, composite materials with fundamentally new properties .
The department's developments are successfully applied at industry enterprises and meet the demands of factory laboratories and industry institutes. The staff of the department has developed progressive methods of analysis and determination of elements relevant for industry (titanium, aluminum, vanadium, zirconium, niobium) and new methods of determination of nickel, cobalt, zirconium, etc. Scientific and technical assistance to industry was carried out by the department by performing arbitration analyzes and holding consultations
