The Department of Digital Engineering and Advanced Materials (old name - Mechanical Engineering and Quality Management) was established by order of the rector and has been operating since March 2017.
The order on the establishment of the department provided for the creation of the Department of Mechanical Engineering and Quality Management at the Nikopol Faculty of NMetAU. The duties of the head of the department were performed by Candidate of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor I.G. Makhnitsky.
The main directions of scientific research of the department are determined by the scientific interests of the teachers.
Scientific and pedagogical workers of the department are involved in the training of bachelors in metallurgy under the OPP Metallurgy, which is implemented at the Nikopol Faculty.
The department constantly holds scientific and methodological seminars.
