- 1965-1970 – Metallurgical Institute of Dnepropetrovsk, engineer-electromechanics qualification by the specialty "Automation and complex mechanization of metallurgical production";
- 1979 – defense of the thesis for competition of the academic degree of the Candidate of Technical Sciences on the theme: "Analysis and synthesis of equipment of the charge systems large volume blast furnaces in order to increase operational reliability and productivity";
- 1990 – assigned the academic status of the senior research worker by the specialty "Machines and aggregates of metallurgical production";
- 2005 – defense of the thesis for competition of the academic degree of the Doctor of Technical Sciences on the theme: "Scientific substantiation and application of microwave equipment for information support of automated process control system in metallurgy" by the specialty 05.13.07 - automation of technological processes;
- 2012 – assigned the academic status of Professor of the Department Automation of Production Processes.
Scientific activity.
Research interests – working out of ways to minimize metal losses, raw materials and energy resources in the production of iron and steel based on the development of effective methods and ways automatic monitoring and control, including the microwave technique. Published about 300 scientific works, including two monographs (in collaboration), the textbook "APCS in converter production" (co-authored) and 60 copyright certificates and patents of Ukraine and Russia.
