The priority spheres of activity of the “Innovation & Commercialization” section are :

- optimization of existing university structure in order to avoid duplication of functions within the university;

- providing an efficient intellectual property management and protection aimed to facilitate commercial knowledge transfer, which should result in the increased number of patents offered to or implemented by industry;

- to enhance collaboration between different units within the university (patent office, R&D Department, legal office …);

- to boost cooperation with non-academic partners, in particular with Dnepropetrovsk Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Association of enterprises of Dnipropetrovs'k Region, Technology Transfer Network of Ukraine, etc.;

- to elaborate databases;

- to develop the technology map;

- to support entrepreneurial initiatives of NMAU academics, students and graduates by offering them the consulting services and supporting of contacts with external environment (investors, entrepreneurs, private sector, etc.).
