KRIVOSHEEV Andrey Evdokimovich
A.E. Krivosheev was born into a family of a worker in Rostov-on-Don. He began his career in 1913. He worked as an apprentice foundryman, locksmith, stoker, machinist on long-distance sea vessels, locksmith at factories in France, then Rabfak, DPI, DMetI. In 1932 he headed the laboratory for improving the production of cast rolling rolls. During the war years, A.E. Krivosheev participated in organizing the production of cast iron and steel rolls at the Magnitogorsk Metallurgical Plant, was the head of the foundry section of the Committee of Scientists to Help the Front. From 1943 to 1976, Prof. Krivosheev A.E. headed the department of foundry production. On his initiative in 1969, the branch rolling laboratory of the MChM was founded at the DMetI.
For his successes in the development and implementation of fundamentally new solutions of great importance in industry, prof., doctor of technical sciences. Kryvosheev A.E. was awarded the USSR State Prize in 1952 for the radical improvement of rolling production, in 1982 - the State Prize of the Ukrainian SSR for the development of an industrial automatic installation and technology for the mass production of grinding cast iron bodies, in 1982 - the Prize of the Council of Ministers of the USSR for achievements in the field of theory and practice of rolling production.
